Santa Ynez Valley consists of five main towns: Los Olivos, Santa Ynez, Solvang, Los Alamos, and Buellton. All have their own unique charm. Below you’ll find the best ways to get to SYV, as well as a list of hotels and Airbnb/VRBO options.
Getting There
Driving
For most of our guests, driving will probably be the most convenient. The Santa Ynez Valley is 1.5-2 hours from Los Angeles, 3 hours from Orange County, and 4 hours from San Diego (traffic can add 30 min -1 hour of travel time, so please be conscious of that).
Flying
For our guests who will be flying in, the closest airport is Santa Barbara (SBA) and is a 40 min drive by car. Both United and Southwest offer direct flights from Denver.
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is about a 2.5 hour drive to the area but offers several airline options.
All of the above options should range around $300-$400.
Please contact Diana or Andrew on your flight plan and we can try to minimize costs of getting to Santa Ynez Valley through ride-sharing with other friends. If you need to rent a car, we’d recommend Turo, basically an ‘airbnb’ style rental app for cars.
Where to Stay
Airbnb / VRBO

Hotels
If you’d like to stay at a hotel for the weekend, we’ve chosen a few in the area. Due to the nature of our event (half of our guests will be staying on property with us), we won’t be having room blocks. To book your accommodations for the hotels, please use the links below. Skyview Los Alamos | $400/night
This boutique hotel is located in Los Alamos. It has 33 modernized guestrooms and has amenities such as a heated Pool (21+), Norman Restaurant & Bar, Linus Bikes for borrow and outdoor fire pits.
Hadsten Solvang | $350/night
The Hadsten is located in the quaint, Dutch-themed town of Solvang. It’s near many local wineries, vineyards, and tasting rooms. And being in Downtown Solvang means steps away to restaurants and bars.
Santa Ynez Valley Marriott | $400/night
The SYV Marriott is a comfortable and easy hotel located in Buellton. Surrounded by vineyards and just minutes from Solvang, it’s a convenient spot for relaxing and exploring.
Ballard Inn | $550/night
Tucked into the quiet town of Ballard, the Ballard Inn is a beautifully restored boutique hotel surrounded by rolling hills. With its cozy charm, it’s a lovely spot for a relaxing and memorable stay.
Other hotels with a bit of a higher price point, but would be lovely options are The Inn at Mattei’s Tavern and the Fess Parker Wine Country Inn.
